Program Planning Meeting

Saturday, February 22 – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Delegates at the 2024 League of Women Voters US Convention voted to move forward with a study on the federal judiciary. The study’s purpose includes, but is not limited to, addressing concerns and clarifying judicial accountability, transparency, independence, and ethics. The scope addresses the Supreme Court as well as the other Article III federal courts, which includes the U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Courts, and the U.S. Court off International Trade.

Although there is a national committee driving this study, every League across the country will be asked to consider the consensus questions between February 7 and April 14. The LWVLL will incorporate this review in our Program Planning meeting on February 22, from 9 am to noon at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Lower Fellowship Hall, 8550 Pioneers Blvd.

Attend this meeting:

  • If you want to better understand our work as it relates to Education vs. Advocacy.
  • If you have an issue that you think our League should be working on.
  • If you want to meet with your fellow Leaguers.
