President’s Message May 2025

Wow!  April has been a busy month for the League. Our members continue to demonstrate how important the League is in “Empowering Voters and Defending Democracy” for Lincoln and Lancaster County. Local elections tend to take a backseat to the national elections, but the League put these elections front and center this year.

The Voter Education team, led by Deb Dulgar, made sure VOTE411 was ready with all of the relevant voter information for both elections.

Our Voter Registration team, led by Mimi Wickless, continues to serve the citizens of Lincoln by registering voters throughout the city for both the primary and general election.  

We held our first candidate forums in partnership with 10/11 Now for City Council, School Board and Airport Authority candidates. Led by Judy Kelly with assistance from Deb Dulgar, we hope to continue this partnership in the future.
